Executive MBA

This part-time pathway to the MBA combines the flexibility and choice of self-managed distance learning with the opportunity to attend a series of on-campus intensive seminars spread over 2 years.

There are nine long weekends (Thursday to Sunday) spent at the state-of-the-art teaching facilities on the Edinburgh campus, plus intensive 2-day refresher courses in each subject prior to examinations.

These 4- and 2-day sessions are separate from those offered to self-study or MSc students; they enable students to develop a cohort approach and ensure that their studies are contextualised to their specific needs.

Cohorts of executives from major corporations have attended the highly regarded part-time 'consortium' programme that forms the model for our Executive MBA programme. These include: Agilent Technologies, Dawson International, Ernst & Young (Italy), Hewlett-Packard, Lloyds TSB, Pearson Education, the NHS, Scottish Widows and Scottish Power.

Start dates

The Executive MBA starts in October and January of each year. Click here for a full list of the 4-day teaching seminars and 2-day revision sessions.

EBS recommends that students submit their applications at least 2 months prior to the start date. This will allow time for processing, visa applications and pre-attendance study. While we will try our best to accommodate all prospective students, EBS cannot guarantee that any applications received less than 2 months before the start date will be processed in time, particularly if a student requires a visa.

Fees

Fees for the Executive MBA are £14,000 in total. This excludes accommodation and may be subject to change without notice.
