EBS Arab World

EBS Arab World works in partnership with Heriot-Watt University and Edinburgh Business School (EBS) to provide an MBA in English in the Arab World. EBS Arab World plays a central role in translating the courses and publishing them in the Arabic language, in marketing and in appointing pan-Arab Approved Learning Partners. EBS Arab World also plays a central role in many aspects of student service.

The chairman of EBS Arab World is Mr Khalil Habib Sayegh, founder of Librairie du Liban in 1944. Librairie du Liban is one of the Arab World’s largest educational publishers, publishing over 700 dictionaries, Islamic encyclopedias, the Sciences of the Holy Koran, academic works, educational programmes, and school textbooks. It is a long-term joint venture partner of Pearson Education, with successful publishing programmes and translations across the Arab World.

MBA language options

Your program in your language. EBS has pioneered the delivery of its MBA courses in additional languages: simplified Chinese, Spanish, and soon Arabic. EBS Arab World is translating the following five courses into Arabic: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, and Organisational Behaviour. Five more courses will follow (Project Management, Strategic Planning, Competitive Strategy, Negotiation and Human Resource Management). The first Arabic courses were made available in 2007. EBS will be able to offer the 3 hour written examinations in Arabic across its network of international examination centres from 2007.

EBS and EBS Arab World will also appoint a network of Approved Learning Partners to provide students with tutoring and support in Arabic. All purchasers of MBA materials will be able to choose the language of their printed course text (English or Arabic), and all students will have access to PDFs of Arabic and English versions from the course websites. However, the administrative systems that underpin the MBA courses will be available only in English, so it is strongly recommended that you have a working knowledge of the English language. The final awards will not refer to the language of study.
