On-campus study
On-campus study is for students who wish to study specific courses, or an entire full-time or part-time MBA, at the business school in Edinburgh.
Students from all over the world attend courses at the school's state-of-the-art teaching facilities on the Heriot-Watt campus.
The teaching model for all the on-campus programmes assumes that students will spend time studying the course materials either on campus or before they arrive so the time spent in contact with the Edinburgh Business School Faculty can be dedicated to adding value through case studies, simulations and practical applications rather than conventional teaching lectures.
All students of the Edinburgh Business School courses sit the same examinations at the same times, regardless of study route.
Edinburgh Business School 4-day tutorials
A schedule of intensive 4-day tutorials in selected courses is delivered at Edinburgh Business School.
These seminars are based on the School's experience of teaching to corporations, and 10 years' experience of delivering the full- and part-time MBA. The seminars assume prior study of the course materials, and provide practical applications and contextualisation.
Attendance is not mandatory, and students can choose which, if any, of the course(s) they wish to attend in Edinburgh. It is possible to take tutorials in all seven of the MBA core courses over any given 12-month period (but students must demonstrate English proficiency and 2 years' relevant business experience to study of all the core courses on campus).
The tutorials are designed for all MBA, MSc and DBA students, and are also open to non-degree students and business executives, subject to normal on-campus study criteria.

Edinburgh Business School 2-day revision seminars
From January 2007, a schedule of 2-day revision seminars in selected subjects will be delivered on campus at Edinburgh Business School.
These 2-day seminars are conducted by Edinburgh Business School and give advice on examination preparation.

Life on campus
Accommodation
EBS students can apply for full-time accommodation in one of the university residences on the Heriot-Watt University campus. Nearly 2,000 students live on-campus in a variety of student residences. The university also has a range of furnished flats.
EBS itself has its own executive accommodation adjacent to the School; this is available at competitive rates for students on the 4-day and 2-day events. All rooms in the executive block have ensuite bathrooms, internet access, laundry service and other facilities. There are restaurants and bars on campus, and EBS students can use the jogging track, tennis and squash courts, and gym. For more information, go to the EBS facilities section.
Student association
The student association encourages a student orientation approach to every aspect of university life and creates an environment in which undergraduate and postgraduate students can feel safe and able to participate.
Other on-campus facilities
Other facilities available on-campus include banking, hairdressing, library services, careers advice, health services, health and fitness facilities, a chaplaincy, a student shop, a bookshop and a range of eateries and pubs.
