ALP study + EBS supervisor
You can study a number of courses at our global Approved Learning Partners before you embark on the research stage, at which time you will be allocated an Edinburgh Business School mentor and supervisor.
While broadly equivalent to a PhD, our DBA has a more direct relevancy to the needs of the real business world. Created in 2003, it will enable you to use research methods to define, implement and evaluate issues facing your organisation. Currently, the programme has several hundred high-calibre students from all over the world. From a diverse range of backgrounds, they include senior police commanders in Asia, company CEOs in Canada, senior academics in Ireland and postdoctoral researchers in Vietnam.
The programme:
- builds on the internationally successful EBS MBA programme, utilising established distance-learning-based delivery and support systems
- produces applied research professionals – people who are able to analyse complex business issues and develop original and reliable solutions
- generates understanding of synergies and insights that can only be developed by integrating different disciplines within the context of original research
