Dr Craig Robinson is Director of Learning and Teaching at Edinburgh Business School, where he oversees the delivery and development of all the School’s educational activities around the world.

Dr Robinson is a strategy academic by discipline, and has run many strategy and executive development courses for the School and external clients since joining Edinburgh Business School in 2007. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Strategic Planning Society.

Dr Robinson primary research is centred round environmental scanning. He has published findings on environmental scanning in complex organisations and is currently developing further research that relates environmental scanning to organisational dynamic and foresight capabilities. Dr Robinson has also presented conference research on environmental scanning and environmental uncertainty, strategy process issues and oil price volatility.

Dr Robinson spent most of 2013 seconded to the Heriot-Watt University campus in Putrajaya. There he established the Edinburgh Business School MBA programme. Prior to becoming an academic, Dr Robinson spent a number of years in various operations management roles for McDonald’s UK.
