Robert Hartnett moved to Denmark after a career in accountancy, which included senior positions at the Savoy Hotel Plc and the Sony UK Group.

"Business teaching and course development was my next step and I found time to complete the Henley MBA by distance learning. As well as running the Danish ALP, I joined the Business School in 2011. I am responsible for teaching, writing exam papers and marking for my subjects. The most enjoyable aspects of my work are the teaching and the opportunities to meet students at Edinburgh Business School's campuses. I once had the pleasure of conducting 35 students singing 'Happy Birthday' in one of the classes in Dubai. I am working on a research proposal for my DBA, which will be on how we are influenced by compliance professionals. Later today I will begin packing for my journey to Malaysia to teach Making Strategies Work."

Having taken my MSc at EBS I have first-hand experience of the challenges students face and overcome
