Robert Hartnett is a Senior Teaching Fellow, lead tutor for the strategy courses at Edinburgh Business School, and a visiting Professor at Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway.

From a background in finance and accountancy, and a period as Director of the approved learning partner for Scandinavia, he came to Edinburgh Business School in 2012.

His major areas of interest lie in business strategy, strategic implementation and negotiation. His area of research focusses on the provision of management education in Norway. Robert runs executive training courses in negotiation and strategic negotiation in Denmark and Norway and has consulted with a number of Scandinavian organisations.

Robert is a Fellow of the Institute of Sales Management, Royal Asiatic Society, the Royal Society of Arts, and an Affiliate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
