Shai is a Senior Teaching Fellow at Edinburgh Business School specialising in Strategy, Risk and Project Management.

Shai’s career in industry has spanned more than 20 years, and as many countries. Shai has dedicated the last decade of his career to sharing the art of Project, Programme and Portfolio Management with aspiring managers and leaders through his lecturing.

Shai has extensive experience in managing strategy portfolio and change processes, helping companies plan, execute and monitor large-scale projects and programmes. He has been a successful business owner, general manager, business unit manager, account manager and director of projects & programmes. During this time Shai became enthused by the theory and execution of project management, but also the joy of planning and successfully managing change.  His success is also due to an understanding that successful projects are about people as much as processes.

He helps students and companies achieve a successful realisation of their business strategy and their operations, by using project, programme and portfolio management (P3M) practices. Shai has served as a committee and board member for professional associations and NGOs such as the Standard institution of Israel (SII) the Project Management Institute (PMI-IL) and Engineers without borders (EWB-IL). Shai also took part in writing the professional standard PMBOK© Guide.

Shai remains invested in exploring the relationships between project management and strategy in business for today and into future.
