Stefan joins Centre for Networks and Enterprise (CNE) with a background and area of interest as research on venture capital industry. He has completed an undergraduate programme at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and a graduate programme at ISCTE (Lisbon) in Business Administration, specialising in both cases in finance and strategy.
Currently, Stefan is an active investment manager at one of the biggest venture capital funds in Austria. In this role, he is member of several advisory boards of start- ups and accelerators in Austria and central Europe. He is a frequently-invited speaker for the topic of venture capital and teaches venture financing at Austrian universities. Stefan completed his MSc studying different valuation approaches and their practical relevance for venture capital companies, putting special emphasis on valuation of real options.
His main interests are in the European venture capital and private equity sectors, identifying, describing and comparing networks in it. He is further interested in network analysis within, the currently highly relevant, start-up scene in Europe.
