There is an interesting article on the BBC News website. The report concerns a family owned building company, R Durtnell and Sons, in the south east of England that was created in 1591 and has survived 13 generations of that family and more recessions than most. The family report that surviving the current financial crisis has been hard and they have introduced pay cuts and downsized their work force to keep going.
How many other organisations have survived this long?
