Social capital, whether understood as generalised trust or personal obligation, captures the idea that people's goodwill towards us is an important resource. When developed and nourished, it helps to achieve personal, professional and organisational goals, serving as a source of competitive advantage.

Delivered by Professor Heather McGregor, Executive Dean of Edinburgh Business School, this seminar is intended to help participants understand network formation theory and how it is applied to personal and professional network development.

rofessor McGregor will also review techniques for developing a stronger network and social capital.

A Q&A with Professor McGregor and networking session will follow the workshop. Refreshments will be served.
