Edinburgh Business School opens its doors for International Partner Conference 2017

Edinburgh Business School’s three-day International Partner Conference got underway yesterday. Executive Dean, Professor Heather McGregor, opened the conference with an insightful presentation on the future direction of the School.

Over 60 delegates are attending from countries such as; Myanmar, Jamaica and Uganda and some closer to home such as Ireland, Switzerland and Germany; making it a truly international symposium.

Professor McGregor shared Edinburgh Business School’s student-centric approach which was received positively from all in attendance. She also made clear her intention to make Edinburgh Business School known globally as the place that helps people develop careers – an aim which has been recently bolstered by the newly appointed Somalian Prime Minster, Hassan Ali Khayre, who is an Edinburgh Business School Alumni.

The conference continues with sessions on the future academic vision, student retention, new programme developments, additional partnership opportunities, e-assessment, data protection and academic staff meetings. A celebration event will take place tonight at Edinburgh Castle.
