Skills Scotland Scholarship

Heriot-Watt's Edinburgh Business School has partnered with the Scottish Funding Council to offer Scottish working professionals a unique scholarship opportunity. 

 Our Skills Scotland Scholarship offers you a fully funded and fully supported masters-level course, from our MBA programme, in a key business discipline. The courses on offer are new for 2020 and have been developed to focus specifically on business topics that will future proof your career.

You'll study online, at a pace that suits you, and have full access to our state-of-the-art online learning environment.

Choose your scholarship course from these five specialist courses; 'leadership, theory and practice', 'people, work and organisations', 'strategic marketing', 'delivering successful projects' and 'financial decision making'.

Our courses and programmes fit the way you work, the way you live.

Once you’ve completed your Skills Scotland Scholarship course why not continue your studies? Complete another two courses and you can exit with a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration. Or, aim for six courses, and claim your Postgraduate Diploma. Or, study all nine courses and graduate with an MBA.

Sit your exams locally

We offer local examinations to all our students. Each course is assessed by a one three-hour examination. You can sit your exams in March, June, August and December.

How to apply

Our masters programmes are open to all

Typically you will hold a recognised first or second class honours degree, or equivalent professional qualification. Students whose native
language is not English and who have not been educated previously in the
English language must provide evidence of their English language proficiency. Alternatively, formal entry can still be gained by passing three MSc courses one of which must be a core course.
