We offer our MBA on a part-time and full-time basis. Self-paced distance learning students also attend the two- and four-day seminars and revision sessions.

On-campus accommodation is available.

Study Options

Full-time MBA

Studying the MBA full-time offers intellectual rigour and applied business experience. The MBA on-campus programme, in Edinburgh, starts in October and January; it has been designed so you can immerse yourself in your studies and share your experiences with a class of like-minded individuals. Students have full access to the faculty.

The teaching sessions for each course, of your nine MBA courses, typically consists of a 4-day intensive seminar and a 2-day revision session, spread over a year. This on-campus programme is delivered in English.


Part-time MBA

This part-time MBA is ideal If you would like to study for a prestigious MBA while continuing your full-time career. Over a period of two years, you'll attend intensive seminars in Edinburgh, held between Thursdays and Sundays. You will have the opportunity to enhance your learning through shared ideas and experiences with fellow students.

Admission criteria

What do you need?

Admission to the MBA programme, part and full time, is by application and acceptance
You are normally expected to have:

A recognised first- or second-class honours degree, or a qualification deemed to be equivalent, or passes in three of the MBA courses (one of which must be core ) and​ a minimum of two years' post-qualifying full-time work experience of a relevant nature.

Is English your first language?

The on- campus programme is taught in English so you must provide evidence of competence in the English language with: Academic IELTS: 6.5 (with no score lower than 6.0 in each section). Other tests
considered to be equivalent will be considered, with the exception of TOEFL/TOEIC.

When can you start?

The full- and part-time MBA programme starts in October and January of each year. We recommend you submit your applications at least two months before the start date. This will allow time for processing, visa applications and pre-attendance study.

While we try our best to accommodate all prospective students, we cannot guarantee that any applications received less than two months before the start date will be processed in time, particularly if a visa is required.
