Where are we?
Heriot-Watt University, one of the UK's leading technological universities, lies in the wooded and landscaped acres of Riccarton Campus, seven miles west of Edinburgh city centre.
Edinburgh Business School is easily accessible from the M8 and city bypass, and is just a ten-minute journey from Edinburgh Airport. Ample car parking space is available.
Our complex includes dining facilities, lecture theatres and good-quality accommodation.
The School has two purpose-built teaching theatres that can both take up to 60 delegates. These theatres can be set up for in a variety of formats to facilitate lectures/presentations, or conference-style meetings.
You'll also have access to the extensive sports facilities, provided by Oriam.
Our teaching rooms, or 'pods', have six fully-equipped break-out/syndicate rooms for up to ten students each and are equipped with flip charts, white-boards and WiFi. Each has its own separate lounge for coffee and refreshments.
Bedroom accommodation is a two-minute walk away, in the Paul Stobart Building, a complex of 30 ensuite bedrooms located on three floors and serviced by a lift and stairs.
All rooms have King-sized bed, internet access and ample desk space for private study. A private balcony or patio provides the ideal space for quiet reflection after a demanding day of seminars and lectures.
Other features include a television and wifi throughout the building. Tea- and coffee-making facilities are also provided.
Food and drink
The Bistro serves breakfast and lunch, using high-quality ingredients; including a meat and vegetarian daily special, baked potatoes, soup and sandwiches, snacks and coffee. There's also a private dining area for groups. Students can also enjoy the catering services offered throughout the campus.
Sport and exercise
Our students have full access to the University's Centre for Sport and Exercise, Oriam. This includes three halls, one with a climbing wall and another with an artificial surface for five-a-side football and indoor tennis. There are also three floodlit synthetic tennis courts, four conditioning suites and eight squash courts.
